DARKPSY // HITECH - PORTUGALNammah Ohm is the darkpsy project of Miguel Carvalho, born in Portugal in 1993 and now based in Ireland. Miguel began producing music in 2002, and Nammah Ohm has been his main project for over two decades.
Raised in a psychedelic trance family environment, he was exposed early to DATs, cassettes, and CDs, which shaped his path into psytrance. Influenced by artists like Goa Gil and guided by Portuguese darkpsy pioneer Helder aka Rawar, Miguel became deeply connected to the Portuguese darkpsy scene.
At just 13, Miguel debuted his first full hour of original music in 2007. In 2009, Psymoon Records released his first 3-track EP, leading him to fully commit to music over school. He went on to perform at major events worldwide, sharing stages with leading psytrance artists.
In 2011, Miguel moved to Austria and launched Ugly Ducky, a hitech-focused project, placing Nammah Ohm on hold. Years later, encouraged by fans and fellow producers, he revived Nammah Ohm, rediscovering the importance of balance between light and dark.
His debut album was produced during the COVID-19 period and released on Pleiadians Records in 2021, featuring five solo tracks and three collaborations. Miguel is currently working on his second album, now signed to Damaru Records, continuing the Nammah Ohm vision with a modern 2024 approach.
